I just want motherhood to matter. And not just alongside all parenting in general, but the work of mothering in particular.

We all know that mothers are the glue that holds society together, yet motherhood continues to be the most undervalued and overly exploited role in our country. WHY??!!

(Heck, most women couldn’t become mothers without it! 😂) Motherhood is an initiation into a new dimension of sensations that expands upon the many possibilities for playful, feminine self expression. Learning to Swim in the Ocean of Motherhood
Look, as a mother of four, I know how depressing it is to look in the mirror and not even recognize yourself many months after having a baby. (Where is that woman who used to be so passionate and alive? What is this new body I have been left with …again? Who AM I now??)
 
I also know how frustrating it is to not even KNOW what you want anymore because your new role of motherhood has completely taken over your former existence. Or to feel like your life is completely out of control as time feels amorphous. (Doesn’t anyone notice that I am barely staying afloat from one minute to the next in between the waves of this new life crashing down upon me without the family support and/or sisterhood of times’ past??)...

Finding Freedom in the Space of Motherhood
I have always been a seeker of open spaces.

The expansive feeling of looking out over an unobstructed horizon and not being constrained by the illusion of limitations deeply inspires me, fueling my passion to pursue freedom (and infinite possibilities!) in all that I do.

I also crave the wiggle room of smaller cities over metropolises. For me, they elicit a feeling of spaciousness around creativity. That sense that there is still more to do rather than it already having been done...
